Eligibility
Only students with a verified University of Chittagong student email address ending in @std.cu.ac.bd may sign in and submit reviews. Anyone can browse the public teacher catalog without signing in.
You may submit at most one review per teacher; this is enforced by the database and not just by the interface.
What reviews are for
Reviews exist to give other students a realistic idea of what to expect from a teacher and to hold teaching quality accountable. Focus your review on your actual experience of the class: how the teacher taught, how grading felt, how much work there was, and similar practical points. Be specific and be fair — a single bad exam is one data point, not the whole course.
Acceptable use and prohibited content
When submitting a review, do not include:
- Profanity, slurs, or discriminatory language.
- Accusations of criminal conduct such as harassment, corruption, or bribery. Concerns like these belong with the university’s official reporting channels, not an anonymous review.
- Personal attacks about someone’s appearance, religion, family, sexuality, disability, or other personal matters unrelated to teaching.
- Details that could identify you or another specific student, such as a section, a grade, or a traceable incident.
- Spam, advertising, or content unrelated to a genuine course experience.
We do not remove a review just because it is negative. A low rating with a genuine, on-topic reason is exactly what this platform is for.
Moderation and removal
Every submitted review is held for moderation before any decision is made about it. We may remove or decline to publish a review that violates the acceptable-use rules above.
We do not currently offer an in-product report button or a formal appeal process for teachers who dispute a review. If that changes, this page will be updated to describe the process.
No endorsement of review content
Reviews are the opinions of individual students, submitted anonymously. We do not write, fact-check, or endorse any review, and publishing or retaining a review does not mean we agree with it. One review reflects one student’s experience and should not be treated as the final word on a teacher or course.
Content you submit
You retain no claim to have a review published, edited by us, or kept indefinitely. By submitting a review, you confirm it reflects your own genuine experience and that you have the right to share it. We may display, store, and moderate submitted review content as described in this policy and the Privacy Policy.
Service availability and warranty
CU Teachers’ Evaluation is provided on an as-is, as-available basis, without warranties of any kind, including accuracy or completeness of the teacher directory, uptime, or fitness for a particular purpose. Directory information is sourced from official University of Chittagong pages and may be incomplete or out of date.
Limitation of liability
We have not yet finalized a specific limitation-of-liability clause with the project owner. Until that is published, do not treat the absence of a clause as a waiver of any right either party may have; a specific clause will be added here once it is decided.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the site or a specific account, including for violations of these terms, without waiving any other right or remedy. We have not yet published a formal appeals process for account actions.
Governing law
A specific governing law and dispute-resolution process for these terms has not yet been decided by the project owner. This section will be updated once that decision is made.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. We have not yet set a version history or effective-date process for this page; treat the version you are reading as the current one.
